About Brad Paul
Biography
Like so many, Brad grew up in a broken home. His mother remarried but it was a bad match. When tensions reached the breaking point, he left home at the age of 15. Unlike his childhood hero, Tom Sawyer , the police quickly apprehended him. He was sent to jail, court, juvenile hall, and finally a boys’ home.
The boys’ home was an offshoot of the famous Boys Town in Nebraska. (The Oscar-winning movie "Boys Town" starring Spencer Tracy, tells the story.) Being there was the best thing that could have happened to him. He achieved the most coveted position at the boys’ home and graduated with a small scholarship. After graduating with honors from college, he joined a well-known Fortune 500 company. Starting at the bottom, he rose rapidly through the ranks to head of a marketing group responsible for generating $400 million dollars in annual product sales to 900 retail outlets throughout the United States.
During his free time, he built and led a non-profit singles organization. Always wary of singles clubs, he set out to create one with a unique approach that would distinguish it from all others. The response was tremendous and the club grew swiftly. Feeling the pull of a higher calling, Brad left the corporate world after many years of dedicated service to find work that was more meaningful. Today, Brad devotes his time to writing and development products that improve people’s lives and building websites that support these activites.

About Guru Habits
Philosophy Guru Habits is for everyone, including rebels, black sheep, underdogs, idealists, and pioneers. Since I identify with each of these characteristics, I am fascinated by stories about individuals who have risen up from the ashes to do remarkable things in their lives. Tales about self improvement feats that took place under mild or “normal” circumstances are good, but they aren’t too inspiring. Since I had a somewhat challenging youth and early adulthood, I can relate to those who must dig deep within themselves to achieve every success.
How I Built This Site After I left my corporate job, I really did a lot of soul searching on what I wanted to do next. Because I loved the idea of having freedom in all areas of my life, I naturally gravitated toward creating my own online business. An Internet business would give me the freedom to live anywhere, work anywhere, and travel anywhere I wanted! It would also fulfill my desire to do work that utilized my talents, aligned with my values, and made a positive contribution to the world.
I started learning about the Internet and website design through a few university courses I took in 1997. I began building my first online businesses over several years beginning in 2000. Each of them produced very little traffic or income. In early 2008, I was shocked to learn that 99% of new Internet businesses fail! I had to admit to myself that I was a part of this group… until I discovered Site Build It! The difference with Site Sell, and the Site Build It product, from all other hosting companies is its enormous educational features, its cutting-edge behind the scenes technology, and its outstanding support mechanisms. I started building my first Site Build It (SBI) website in March of 2008. I saw more traffic during the first eight (8) months with SBI than I did during the prior seven (7) years put together! And all of the traffic was produced for free! SBI shows you how to generate traffic without spending a dollar on advertising! SBI has proven to be the perfect online business partner for me. One of the best things about Site Build It is that fits everyone from the beginner to the seasoned veteran. They also have a great affiliate program. The thing I like most about SBI is its philosophy of keeping things real and honest. To read the rest of the story, click: How I Built This Site.
