Guru Habits
I launched Guru Habits on May 21, 2009.
Here are definitions from Merriam-Webster.com that inspired the name.
Guru
2.
a : teacher and especially intellectual guide in matters of fundamental concern
b : one who is an acknowledged leader or chief proponent
c : a person with knowledge or expertise
Habit (s)
3 : manner of conducting oneself
4 : bodily appearance or makeup
5 : the prevailing disposition or character of a person’s thoughts and feelings : mental makeup
6 : a settled tendency or usual manner of behavior
I do not consider myself a Guru — far from it actually. But I am an enthusiastic student of those who are. And I have an aptitude for teaching.
Guru Habits grew out of my passion for learning about all things related to personal development and nonconforming, uncommon true quality living and my insatiable desire to share it with anyone who’s interested.
Guru Habits is for everyone including underdogs, black sheep, rebels, idealists, and pioneers. People of all ages, occupations, ethnicities, nationalities, and religions are welcome at Guru Habits.

I could give you a dazzling list of academic, career, and personal achievements and other boring information about myself. But what would it matter to you.
Like me, you’ve probably known many people with impressive degrees, licensing credentials, and other accomplishments who didn’t have a bit of common sense or true compassion for others. Yet they were in a field that demanded it to be successful.
I could give you an incredible list of statistics on my personal development feats. But what would it really matter to you. Like me, you’ve probably found many people on the Internet who claim to have amazing stories about personal transformation.
Let me tell what I am not. I am not a psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, or professor. I am not a leader of any religious or political group. And I am not closed-minded, bigoted, or elitist.
You will discover more than you probably want to know about my background and personal development history and whether it’s true in my articles by default. What’s important is that you get some valuable and motivating information and tools that you can use to improve the quality of your life right away!
Here’s my bio if you care to read it.
